Claire E. Aubin is a historian of violence, Nazism, Holocaust perpetration, and 20th century American culture, with a PhD and LLM from the University of Edinburgh. Her forthcoming monograph, The Homeland: Nazi Perpetrators as Immigrants to America will be published with Cambridge University Press in summer 2027, and she is currently completing the manuscript for False Idols: How Great Man History Left Our Past in Ruins, to be published by Basic Books. She is the host of the popular general history podcast This Guy Sucked, and she has previously taught in the History and Jewish Studies departments at the University of Edinburgh, University of California Davis, and San Francisco State University.
